My Personal Pie Man

Was anyone else as devastated as I was when they took "Pushing Daisies" off the air? I loved this quirky show about the "pie man" who could bring people back to life. The characters were fun and the premise was unique. Granted you really had to "suspend your disbelief" a great deal but who doesn't need a little fantasy every now and then. The other reasons I was such a fan is because my hubster loves to bake pies, he loves to eat them too! And we just happened to adopt a sweet Golden Retriever who was already named Digby, just like the golden on Pushing Daisies.
Okay, did you catch that? My hubby loves to bake pies, most of the time from scratch. Here's a photo of my special guy, My Sweetie Pie, if you will, with a delicious Lemon Meringue Pie....
Isn't he cute (he's sporting his "Manly Month of March" beard)? So anyway all this illustrates how I came about the idea for this project......
It will be framed to hang in my kitchen. My sweet Al is going to take off his Pie Man hat and put on his Cabinet Maker hat to build a custom cherry wood shaker-style frame to match my kitchen cabinets (which he also built). I really love that guy!
I've been hoarding Cosmo Cricket's Early Bird papers and such for quite sometime now. When I saw Jenny's current challenge over at ...wee Memories, to use chipboard on a project, well my mind started to click into gear (it took some time, but it did start to work). I also just acquired THIS wonderful stamp set.
So I combined a little Cosmo Cricket, a little "What's Cooking?", tossed in some "Pushing Daisies" inspiration and came up with this little art project. Thanks for stopping by to visit, a list of supplies is at the end of this post.

1Peter 1:22 ~ "Since you have purified your souls in obeying the Truth through the Spirit, in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart."
Blessings,
nancy
