Lily Pad Inspiration

I love the inspiration challenges at Lily Pad Cards; I love perusing all the entries to find spark of inspiration that leads to my next card design. I found a really inspiring project by Katie Tate: a July 4th Decoration.  And since she entered it in the May Arts Ribbon Challenge I got out my May Arts ribbon to make a couple of flowers to mimic Katie's rosettes in a watering can decoration.

This card started with the ribbon flowers, they are hand-stitched in a messy gathered circle. Then the another piece of ribbon was machine-stitched on the Hero Hues patterned paper. Hero Arts Envelope Pattern is stamped on the kraft card base. Some scraps of paper from Crate Paper Portrait Collection and 2 red buttons are the only embellishments. Thanks Katie for the wonderful inspiration!
Let's see what inspired you this month at Lily Pad Cards.

 ~ Psalm 4:6-8 ~
"Many people say, "Who will show us better times?"
Let Your face smile on us, Lord.
You have given me greater joy
than those who have abundant harvests of grain and new wine.
In peace I will lie down and sleep,
for You alone, O Lord, will keep me safe."
blessings,
nancy
