Fairy Friends Birthday Pop-up Card

Today is my little Ellie's first birthday! Since I don't observe halloween I'm glad that October 31st now has a special meaning for me! Ellie is growing up to be a beautiful little girl with a curious and happy disposition; always smiling and exploring. She has brought so much joy into our lives, I am one blessed grammy!

I wanted to make a magical keepsake style card to mark her first birthday. I used lots of Lawn Fawn products to craft this handmade card!

For the cover I kept it simple with just one little fairy! I die cut the label from Small Stitched Envelope, then blended on some Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress ink. Finley's ABCs were die cut from sparkly paper from my stash and Sally's ABCs were white heat-embossed. The label was attached to a colorful piece of wide ribbon to hold the pop-up card closed.

I stamped most of the images with Copic-friendly black ink and colored with Copic markers. The solid images with stamped with colorful ink.
To create the pop-up scene I die cut all the landscape pieces from watercolor paper and added vibrant colors of ink with a mini ink blending tool.

Products used:
Lawn Fawn: Finley's ABCs; Sally's ABCs; Small Stitched Envelope (label); Dotted Rectangle Stackables, Fairy Friends, Scalloped Rectangles, Frosty Fairy Friends, Forest Border, Stitched Mountain Borders, Stitched Hillside Pop-up, Grassy Hillside Borders, Stitched Hillside Borders, Jalapeno Ink, Sugarplum Ink, Noble Fir, Black Licorice, Sugarplum cardstock
Other Supplies:
Ranger- Mini Ink Blending Tool, Distress Inks- Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron, Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, Squeezed Lemonade, Tumbled Glass

Hero Hostess Alumni Blog Hop

Welcome to the Hero Arts Hostess Hop, featuring fabulous stamps from the new 2016 release and winter catalog!

A wonderful thing happened in 2008 when I discovered an amazing group of crafters in the Hero Arts Flickr group! I found the most supportive, most encouraging group of women who nurtured my interest in paper crafting and welcomed me into their community! Hero Arts supported this group with contests, inspiration and with the Hero Hostesses. We were there to encourage all the members of the group. answer questions, comment and share our creativity! It was a brilliant idea and was very successful! I'm so blessed to be a part of this sisterhood and I am thankful to all the awesome people at Hero Arts for us giving the opportunity!

We always love it when we get the chance to do another blog hop together; it's a virtual reunion every time! Hero Arts assembled some pretty talented women and I'm always so awe-struck by what is shared during our hops. I hope you will join us in our Hero Hostess Alumni blog hop.

You should have arrived via Sarah Moerman's blog. She's an awesomely talented, tough act to follow, always thinking outside the box! If you missed any of the stops today you can start HERE at the Hero Arts Blog. And be sure to check in there tomorrow for more hostess creativity!

I love all the beautiful images in the Vintage Wishes set!  They are perfect for creating pretty vignettes for cards!

I added lots of Wink of Stella to the trees and deer.

This card features the Coffee Cup Stamp + Die Combo. The sentiments are great for tucking a coffee gift card inside!

I just loved stamping these fun coffee cups in bright colors!

Hero Arts will be awarding 4 prizes ($25 shopping spree to Hero Arts online shop) from randomly drawn comments. For a chance to win, simply comment on ANY of the stops along the hop on Oct. 24th and 25th, including each day’s ending post at the Hero Club Blog. The more comments you leave, the better your chance of winning! (comment by Sunday Oct 30 by 11:59pm PT for a chance to win) If you find a broken link, you'll find a master list of the hop links at the Hero Arts Blog.

The next stop on today's hop is the blog of my sweet friend, Tiffany Ervin! I know she will have something beautiful to share. Enjoy
