Cafe Mocha at Home

I'm not a big Starbucks fan (I'm cheap), but I do like an occasional hot beverage with some special flavor. This morning as I poured the last of the coffee from the pot into my cup I had a light bulb moment as I noticed the can of chocolate sitting on the counter...why not make my own Cafe Mocha!

Here's what I did:
Fill cup 1/3 full with coffee. Add 2 teaspoons Trader Joe's Sipping Chocolate powder and stir to combine well. Add about 1/2 teaspoon sugar or to taste (I don't need things too sweet) and stir again. Add milk to fill the cup and microwave for 1 minute on high. Stir again and top with whipped cream (hubby always has cans of whipped cream in the fridge). Enjoy!

You may need to adjust the chocolate and sugar amounts depending on the size of coffee cup you use.

Now I'm off to attempt some scrapbook pages....the day could go horribly wrong but at least it started well!

i'm still here....really i am

Things are starting to slow down a bit so I made some time to do a little blog post. I really do want to be much more consistent with posting but I just haven't had much quality crafting time.

I did have the fun assignment recently to design (and in a few cases, re-design from the original) the Lawn Fawn card samples that were shipped to stores. It was not hard to make cute cards because these stamps are so adorable.

I will be teaching a class with this set of cards on March 16 at Stamp Fever...it's about time! The sets I used are: Good Fortune, Happy Easter, Home Sweet Home, Critters on the Savanna and Summertime Charm. I used papers from the Pink Lemonade and Daphne's Closet collections.

laugh giggle be silly

Wow, can't believe it's been so long since I've posted here. I'm busy and I'm loving it but my little blog is lonesome.

I had the chance to play with the wonderful Hero Arts group in the latest Scramble today. The always adorable Judy was our hostess for the festivities. Her running commentary was so fun, I love her sense of humor! The theme was Spring and since it is decidedly un-Springlike here in the OC I was thinking warm colors!

Just a simple card made, photographed and uploaded in less than an hour. I love that sentiment by Hero Arts!
