Lawn Fawn Milk Carton and Stitched Borders Dies

So I get to play with the new Lawn Fawn products a little early and I'm here to tell you, you will love this release! Everything will be available on June 4th at lawnfawn.com and all the usual places.

I had the idea to use the Gingham Backdrops stamp to decorate the Milk Carton. I added a border of stitching with the cross-stitch Stitched Border. So easy and it turned out so cute!

gingham milk carton 1
Bright red gingham makes me smile! I used my MISTI to stamp the gingham on both pieces of the milk carton. It's easy to line up and the stamp almost covers the whole body of the die cut with just a little border where I added some stitched detail.

gingham milk carton 2
I love this hummingbird from Gleeful Gardens. The sentiment and frame are from Flirty Frames.

gingham milk carton 3
The little cross-stitch border is so fun! I'm obsessed with this red ink which may or may not be available very soon {wink, wink}! It's gorgeous and it stamps so crisp!

gingham milk carton 4
I colored one of the Wood Veneer Hearts with a red Copic marker and added some Clear Glitter Wink of Stella.

The possibilities are endless with this cute Milk Carton die.

I've Embraced the Planner Craze!

I'm living proof that you really can teach an old dog new tricks! I've resisted using a planner for the whole of my adult life, preferring to fly by the seat of my pants. That was easy when the brain was young and had lots of room to remember important stuff.  Now I'm using up way too much real estate for unnecessary information that's only useful for playing Trivial Pursuit. A planner is the perfect solution.

Lately I've taken on some additional duties for the kind folks at Lawn Fawn and I found it imperative to be very organized. I started by ordering the new planner from PTI. There were a lot of things I loved about this planner but in the end I just didn't need all the daily pages and I didn't love the large binder coil so I gifted it to my daughter-in-love. It was then I found the Daily Planner from Plum Paper. I love this planner! It has everything I need and nothing I don't! Yay!

This planner is so pretty; it really makes me happy! And it keeps me on track!

plum paper planner 3
I love that there is plenty of room for writing all the information I need in the weekly sections.

plum paper planner 2
I keep pretty Webster's Pages stickers in the back pocket along with pretty paper clips.

Color Crush teal stripe binder.1
I wanted something smaller that I could take with me to use for journaling, Bible Study notes, prayer requests, ideas, scheduling appointments etc. This little beauty is the perfect answer! It's the Webster's Pages Color Crush binder.

I created my own calendar pages when I was frustrated that I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. I created a template in Excel and sized it to fit my binder. The pages are blank so I can stamp the month and year (with Lawn Fawn's Clark's ABCs) and fill in the dates by hand.

calendar page 4
I used a PTI die to create the monthly calendar tabs. The months are stamped with Lawn Fawn's Say Cheese, Too stamp set. (Unfortunately this set is no longer available)

binder 1
I just ordered the binder and Count Your Blessings Divider Kit Set and I filled each section with lined paper for jotting notes, ideas, prayers, lists...whatever is in my head that I don't want to forget.

planner and binder 3
I love how well my planner and binder coordinate; they look really pretty sitting on my desk!

I haven't totally embraced all the embellishing of everything but you never know, I didn't think I'd ever become a planner nerd!

I will start sharing some of the cards I've been making with the new Lawn Fawn release tomorrow!

Thanks for visiting!

A Bun in the Oven Mother's Day Card

My daughter-in-love, Mary is adding another grandchild to the Krueger clan in November and there's a rumor it may be a girl! Finally, a girl! I made her a sweet and punny card for Mother's Day.

congrats- bun it the oven

I used Lawn Fawn Plus One, Gingham Backdrops and Penelope's Blossoms stamp sets with Stitched Circle and Rectangle Stackables sets.

The inside sentiment is an older Hero Arts wood mount stamp. I just love the font! I added some more Penelope's Blossoms on the inside as well.

Happy Mother's Day to all who have ever nurtured and loved a child!

Thanks so much for your sweet comments, they make me smile!

A Bicycle Themed Mother's Day Card

I pinned this card more than 2 years ago and I finally found it again to use as inspiration for a  Mother's Day card for my sister.

It's very clean and simple and I'm happy with how it turned out! I love the Hero Arts bicycle stamp that was used on the original card. I paired it with a Simon Says Stamp sentiment from Favorite Flowers and a heart-shaped balloon from the Lawn Fawn Party Balloons die set.

Another Mother's Day card

For this card I used the sentiment from Lawn Fawn's Happy Mother's Day with flowers from Penelope's Blossoms. This time I used a variety of inks from Simon Says Stamp and Hero Arts.

A Mother's Day Card

I really have been making cards lately, just not many I can share yet.

I lost my beautiful mom many years ago and my sweet mother-in-law has also gone to be with Jesus; so on Mother's Day I honor very special women who inspire me with their lives and ability to love others unconditionally. This includes my 2 daughters-in-love, my amazing sister and her daughter-in-love and my wonderful aunt.

Mother's Day 1

Mother's Day 1.1
For this card I used Lawn Fawn's Happy Mother's Day mini stamp set along with the Picket Fence Border, Grassy Border and Stitched Rectangle Lawn Cuts. I used some Lawn Fawn ink as well; Freshly Cut Grass, Fake Tan, Wild Rose, Sunflower, Mermaid and Black Licorice.
As I'm looking at this now it really bothers me that I missed adding a black center to one of the flowers. That was fixed before I mailed this card to my aunt!

I'll be back with some more cards for special women tomorrow!
