Sunshine on a Rainy Day

We've got sunshine and showers here in SoCal today....and some thunder and a bit of gusty wind. It's a weather smorgasbord! Since I really want some sunshine, I thought I would create some sunny projects with the bits and pieces sitting on my desk. I was inspired by the April Challenge themes at Hero Arts.

This tag just sort of designed itself....the Newspaper Background was already stamped on the tag and the rest of the pieces were left over from playing with Gelatos. Those of you who visit often know I'm partial to sunshine-y golden colors, so no surprise that's what was sitting around.

The text strip was even cut out already (from Cosmo Cricket Odds n Ends) just waiting for an assignment. The scalloped piece is by Hero Arts, stamped on canvas that was colored with Gelatos. The piece on the bottom is another HA stamp that was colored with Gelatos, spritzed and then stamped for a watercolor look. "Inspire" is a really old metal embellie from my stash. I colored it with Copics then clear embossed several times.

This is a mini card made from a 3" flower punch. The little flowers were punched from Lawn Fawn Bright Side scraps. The sentiment is from an older Hero Arts set called Anytime Messages.

Thanks for visiting today!
