Lily Pad Cards has a new challenge!

Apparently the Hero Hostess Blog Hop used up all of my creativity because my mojo has been on an extended walk-about. I hope it returns soon, refreshed and ready to work; I really miss it!

I did manage to wring out some mojo essence to make a card for the new Lily Pad Cards Challenge: Virginia's View. Yes, that Virginia, my friend from the land to the north.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Penny Black so I grabbed my favorite paisley background stamp and got to work with some white embossing powder and Distress inks.


I guess I was in a light-hearted mood because this is so different from my usual style (do I really have a usual style? she asked). Anyway, this gave me the perfect excuse to use these Jewelry Box Thickers from American Crafts that I've been hoarding for some time now.

    Oh, Nancy! This is a lovely card! The paisley hearts are beautiful against the soft blue background! Lovely dimension with the thickers on top! Really pretty!...Nancy :o)

    The white embossing powder on those colors looks great, I really love that card!

    Also, good luck getting your mojo back, I totally know how that is. Usually it involves a good movie, a good soundtrack or a good meal with great friends to get back on track. Happy Sunday!!
