Saying Goodbye to the Lily Pad Pond

For the last year I have had the supreme pleasure of working with some of the nicest and most creative people in the crafting world. As a member of the Lily Pad Cards Dream Team from the start I have been blessed to be part of this special place that was first dreamed up by Deborah and Vicky. It's been a wonderful place for sharing creativity and challenges. And I've loved getting to know the clever and creative people who have played in the challenges and been featured as Guest Designers. Deborah and Vicky have nurtured Lily Pad Cards and made it the huge success it became. I want to thank them both for all the encouragement, love and laughs we shared.

I thought I would include a little retrospective of favorite projects I've done with Lily Pad Cards.

Our little team of pond-ers has included some truly talented crafters who have made Lily Pad Cards a special place to visit:
Lucy
Suzanne
Sarah
Pia
Latrice
Lin
Alice
Sherri
Kathy
Vera
Virginia
Karin
Barb
Vicky
Deborah

I hope you will visit their blogs and leave them some comment love!

It has been a wonderful ride with Lily Pad Cards. As I'm sad to see it end there is always some new adventure waiting around the corner.....

Seeing Stars at the Lily Pad

If you are looking for the Blog Candy post please scroll down or click HERE.

Please visit Inspired by.... Jill is featuring another one of my cards today!

Stars are the focus of the new Simon Says Stamp sponsored challenge at Lily Pad Cards. I knew I had an ancient little star punch to use and Lawn Fawn had the perfect sentiment so I thought I was set. Then the indecision set in....5 or 6 miserable failures later I finally had a card I could love....and send to someone.

It's Vera's View at the Lily Pad

This week our sponsor is Stamp Camp and the Design Team made some fabulous projects with these versatile stamps. I had a set of bird cages and a sweet flower background to work with Vera's inspiring photo.  I love the lined up cupcakes with the pretty embellishments so that was my jumping off point for creating my card.

I have to give a shout out to Sarah who sent me those pretty rolled flowers quite some ago all the way from Belgium; I've been saving them for special projects and this one was the perfect fit.

Make sure to stop by the Lily Pad Cards blog to see all the gorgeous DT cards and enter our challenge.

Rainy Theme at Lily Pad Cards

It may be a sunny day where you are, but we're singing (or at least stamping) in the rain at the Lily Pad!

I love a spring shower or even a thunderstorm every now and then, and so do these cute Lawn Fawn Critters in the Burbs. I live in the burbs, and you can find each of these critters hanging out in my backyard. Only the dog, standing in for Digby, lives here; the other two are frequent visitors.

I made my own spray mist mixing some Stormy Sky Distress ink refill with water in a mini mister. I gave the top portion of the card a light misting. The critters and tree were colored with Copics, cut out and then the squirrel, dog and tree were added using foam adhesive to pop them up and give a bit of dimension.

I hope you will join us for this month long challenge sponsored by Simon Says Stamp. Visit the Lily Pad Cards blog for more details and to see some fabulous inspiration.

Virginia's View #4- Sponsored by Letraset

Time for another challenge with Virginia at Lily Pad Cards! That's right, it's Virginia's View #4!
I saw Virginia's inspiration and thought of Spring, and somehow riding a bike with a basket full of spring flowers was where it took me. I used a charming stamp set from Technique Tuesday called Belle on a Bike. I'm so happy that Stamp Fever is carrying Technique Tuesday stamps now, it's great when your LSS has the stamps you want.

So here's our fabulous Belle, she's so stylish! She was colored using Letraset Flex Markers, I love their rich colors and the nice brush tip.

Make sure you visit Lily Pad Cards to see all the wonderful inspiration from the Design Team, they always impress me with their awesome talent. I hope you join us for this fun challenge!

Celebrating Lily Pad Cards First Birthday!

We are having a party at Lily Pad Cards! What better way to celebrate our first year than to get together with wonderful friends for a Birthday Blog Hop. Hopefully you arrived here from the blog of the multi-talented designer and challenge creator, Julie Ranae! If not you may want to start from the beginning at Lily Pad Cards.

There are three prize packages with a total retail value of over $300! These prizes will be awarded by random draw.

There are two ways to be eligible for the prize drawings. You can "Like" us on Facebook; or if you do not have a Facebook account, you can also be eligible for the drawings by leaving a comment on the Lily Pad Cards blog

Leaving comments on the participating blogs along the way will increase your chances in the drawings, but please leave only one comment per blog.  The hop starts today but you'll have until 12:00pm EST on Sunday, April 8 for all your commenting, so no worries, you have plenty of time.

I decided to create a festive party atmosphere for Lily Pad Card's mascot, Frederick Du Ponde. He's such a suave and debonair gent that I knew he'd be "Celebrating with Style".

All stamps are Lawn Fawn with an assist from an older Hero Arts sentiment.
