What's on my wish list...

I was a bit overwhelmed this past week and unfortunately I didn't get to make the cards with last Sunday's preview stamps :(  I've been working on a special project that I'm really excited about and I'm hoping to share it with you in the next week or so.

I will still be using the stamps I previewed last Sunday and I'll have those cards later this week. So instead of sharing another preview I thought I would give you a peek at what I have in cart and on my wish list at Simon Says Stamp. I've been saving my nickels and dimes so I can add some new items to my quickly diminishing stash of supplies and fun stuff.

Does anybody have some ideas for using these items...please do share them in the comments. Thanks, I'll take all the inspiration I can get. And I just may send a little something to a random commenter who supplies a fabulous idea.
Make sure I can contact you through blogger.

I couldn't leave you without sharing a little something I made last week. I just love the look of hexagons but I don't have a punch or die so I made my own Hexagon template in Publisher and printed it on heavy cardstock.  My Summer Hello card is made from scraps and it measures 3x4".

I'll be back Monday with a new Happy Heart Wisdom

blessings,
nancy

  1. Hi Nancy,
I'm loving your SSS wish list, but "Oh Happy Day" just makes my heart beat a little faster! It will be great for a card greeting or a scrapbook layout or to separate and play with the letters/words in different combos. I think I'll be doing some shopping there too!
    Thanks for sharing!

  2. I love your card Nancy... the hexagons look wonderful with the stitching round them. Great idea to make your own template. Must try that. Your shopping cart is full of goodies. I've got the lattice stamp and it is fun to use. The die is on my wish list too... and I love the houses stamp. I can think of lots to do with it.

  3. Hi Nancy such a fun card, love the hexagons. That Lattice stamp ids lovely I have seen so many beautiful cards made with that in the HA flickr group. Colouring with copics seems favourite!

And I enjoyed looking through your wishlist - there are things at SSS that you'd never see otherwise!

  6. Great way to make your hexagons, Nancy. I love that chevron one on an angle and the "hello" inside the hexagon too. I have the lattice background and have seen people emboss it in white and use Distress ink. Every time I see it, I think it's so beautiful, but I haven't done it myself because I didn't want to copy and wasn't sure who I saw do it to give them credit - ha! Maybe I'm too paranoid. When I look at that "Oh Happy Day" I think it would be great for a baptism card or for encouragement for a new believer because you could finish the phrase inside like the song: "...When Jesus washed my sins away!" Very fun wish list!

  7. Looks like your future purchases could have some fun summer canning tags/labels and maybe some welcome home or housewarming tags and cards. Have fun with the brainstorming! Your hexagon card is great, love the idea of making your own template in Publisher.

  8. I think it is a good thing that I don't know about "wish lists", Nancy! Mine would be off the charts! Looks like lots of fun stuff, for sure. I haven't gotten onto the hexagon wagon yet, but love how you made your own template! Economical and fun, too. They are great on that background. Thanks!
