New Lawn Fawn - Happy 4th

I always know when it's 9:30pm. That's when the Disneyland fireworks show starts. I've been listening to it for 33 years now. We used to be able to see the fireworks from our front porch but over the years the trees in our neighborhood have grown taller and they obscure the view to the Disneyland Resort now. But since we are about 5 miles from Disneyland we still hear them. In recent years Anaheim Stadium, home to the Angels has started to set off fireworks for home runs and winning games. We are less than 3 miles from the stadium; we always know when the Angels have a home game and we can see the fireworks from our backyard!

I also love the patriotic side to fireworks shows so the new Happy 4th stamp set makes me really happy! The images can be used for Independence Day or New Year's. They can be snowflakes or stylized flowers.

This could make a great invitation to a July 4th Celebration!

How about a New Year's Eve party? Gold embossing on black is really festive!

(I'm sorry for the poor quality of these photos, don't quite know what went wrong but since I no longer have the cards this is the best I can do.)

Love this set so much! Isn't that little rocket cute?

  1. I love these, Nancy! Such a versatile set of stamps. "OUR" USA birthday will be here soon and we have so much to be thankful in this country - even with all the good, the bad and the ugly. Thanks for the inspiration.

Enjoy your ballgames from your backyard :)

  2. What a fun set, Nancy! Love how versatile it could be! Both cards are so festive and fun! :)

  3. Gorgeous cards Nancy, you must get fed up with all those fireworks!!

  4. Love the cards, especially the gold embossing, so neat you are so close to Disney!

  5. You live that close to Disneyland?? I'm not sit if that's über cool or über annoying, lol! The tourists must be insane!! Gorgeous cards :)

  6. these are both awesome cards Nancy.

  7. Love how you showed the versatility of this set!!!! So jealous you live that close to Disneyland- I "heart" Mickey:)

  8. You are so creative with stretching these cute stamps. I always make July 4th cards, so this set is on my wish list. It is funny, I don't think we (in CA) do as much for this patriotic holiday as my family (and everyone else) in the east does. Too bad. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for your comments, I love hearing from you!
