It's Day Seven- Let's Remake the Day One Card

So when I decided to use these cards for my class I wanted to add a fun technique instead of using patterned paper for the background. This is the exact same card as Sunday's but with an inked and stamped background.
 Just like the red background on the Day Three card, I blended Evergreen Bough Distress ink on white cardstock, sprinkled some pearly water and then stamped the fun snowflake image in the same ink.

Thanks for joining me as I explored different ways to use "And a Partridge" by Lawn Fawn.

Guess What? It's Day Five Already

I have always been a fan of American folk art. How happy was I to find that this adorable partridge in a pear tree set lends itself quite nicely to this style.

Here's my attempt at a folk art card:

I love how the Soft Granite ink looks with yellow!
I made this card with only plain cardstock; white, black and kraft. I added color to the scallops with a Faber-Castell Big Brush Marker in Dark Chrome Yellow. I colored the pears with it as well before adding some Glossy Accents for shine. This card is the first one for my class in November.

We all want progress, but if you're on the wrong road,
progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road;
in that case, the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive.

A Tag for Day Four of And a Partridge Inspiration Week

I just love that the main image in this set is perfect for making tags. Just a simple tag!

God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself,
because it is not there. There is no such thing.
